Midnight Howl

This really sucks. Our house has developed this damp, musty, smell in the downstairs bathroom and today I noticed these black splotches underneath the paint. Could this be the dreaded toxic black mold? Will this kind of mold harm the health of my family and pets? How much will it cost to get the mold remediation done? I wish I knew what to do about this since it’s really stressing me out right now.

I’ve been doing some research into the Cost of Mold Removal and it isn’t pretty. Everybody says that you should get a pro to do the work and not to do it yourself since if you screw it up you can make things a lot worse. The pros won’t give you a price either. All the pro mold detection and removal firms will do is give you an estimate and you’ve got to kind hope they get the work done and don’t rip you off. I guess I’ll have to check and see if mold damage is covered under my homeowner’s policy. That’s about all I can do at this point since I apparently have mold growing in my bathroom wall and who knows where else it’s growing in my home.
