1. Don’t use pre-built templates or content management system or blog systems like WordPress, Drupal or Joomla. You want something unique to you that you built yourself and, by God, you’ll have it.

2. Spend several days creating your website entirely from scratch. Spend hours fiddling around with aligning things in tables and dealing with Frontpage resizing everything to its liking and not yours.

3. Scream in frustration when you can’t get the layout you’ve carefully designed using tables and frames to look right anymore. Consume your favorite adult beverage.

4. Relax and finish your website and click the publish button. Tear out your hair when you realize that your carefully designed website has disappeared into the ether because it’s no longer on your hard drive or on the webserver.

5. Enjoy another shot of your favorite adult beverage and start over again. You rationalize that your site design wasn’t all that good anyway.

6. You download a free Frontpage template, hoping it will solve your problems.

7. Great, somebody else has already spent some time tweaking this template but it isn’t quite to your liking. Now if I just move this over a little bit…  Time for another shot.

8. Download the template again since you lost the previous download and start again.

9. Finish the site, again, and repeat step 4, again, complete with the files disappearing and a double shot this time around.

10. Delete FrontPage from your hard drive and create a WordPress blog.
