Although tiredness and fatigue is a common problem in the society we live in, a surprisingly large percentage of the public have no idea what tiredness is, what causes it and worse, how to prevent to overcome it. If you feel very tired after playing a sport or busy day at work but wake up the following day feeling fresh and energetic, that is not tiredness or fatigue, it is normal. However, getting tired even for doing nothing or waking up tired in the morning is a sign of tiredness and fatigue.
Tiredness is characterized by lack of energy, feeling confused, weak, drowsy and clumsy. Depending on the cause of the tiredness, the problem can sometimes be solved by simply changing work schedule, hours of work or overcoming anxiety and stressful situations. There is no medical treatment for tiredness although energy drinks, some drugs and coffee suppress the symptoms albeit for a short period of time.
